When we were planning this music video with Cameron James and Noah M. Dorsey we were wanting to keep the idea simple. We wanted to showcase what a night for an up-and-coming rapper looks like. It was important in the original vision to use unique and contrasting camera styles to show a “home movie” and professional vibe. The idea became more and more elaborate as we went along. We came up with the idea of shooting these high-production-value scenes with both cinema cameras and Noah’s Handy Cam his family used to film short films when he was growing up. At the end of the meeting, our goal of shooting a simple music video turned into this big production. - Jordan Powers
Jordan Powers came to me with a couple of reference videos and we started brainstorming how we would go about creating something that will bring all of this together. It grew from a small team of people into a full crew. It was a pleasure to work with so many talented individuals on this project. Big shout out to Evan Van Roy who was my gaffer on this project. We were able to achieve so much with so little thanks to him and his team.
